Of course, the current version of Fletcher's Cave began with the University of Maryland's student newspaper, The Diamondback. The paper's editors and staff were MORE than patient with my meandering doodles, and I thank them... Fletcher's Cave once appeared in its second college paper (well, technically, its third, if you count those misty Virginia Tech days), William Paterson University's The Beacon. Thanks to the staff at The Beacon for giving my strip a try. So bring home The Beacon, fry it up in the pan... Fletcher's Cave was once displayed on the Humor of the Day site, where some top-notch cartoonists displayed their work, including Lemont Brown by Darrin Bell. However, the site seems to have undergone a sea change, so I'm not sure the Cave appears there any more... Fletcher's Cave was enrolled in the iCast College Comedy Bake-Off, but apparently iCast has gone under. I was never clear on the criteria for winning, but I was up against a guy who drew a comic starring a turkey... iCast This site is part of a larger, very ambitious web-o-rama called Planet Cartoonist. A click on the icon translates into a "vote" for Fletcher's Cave, which in turn translates into data for the rankings in the site's "Top 100." Take a look and see what you think. The Funny Papers is another site that maintains a list of "top comics." A click here is a "vote" for Fletcher's Cave. The site contains links to some good comics. Currently, Fletcher's Cave was once displayed on the Student Press Exchange, a forum for college newspaper editors to trade ideas and find materials for publication. However, I checked that site a few days ago, and it seems they sold out to a press machinery business, so the Cave's days on that site have almost certainly gone... Fletcher's Cave once perched on MyComix/Toonscape, a site for cartoonists to post their strips and panels on the web. But this is another site that seems to have changed drastically, and I'm not quite sure what the deal is now... Fletcher's Cave is still listed on Stu's Comic Strip Connection, but apparently Stu now focuses on law-based e-comics. Take a look, if that's your thing... Fletcher's Cave was once on WebComics, and occasionally ranked in the top 30 a couple of years ago. However, a recent search reveals that they might have nuked my link ... oh, well. My comic shall rise again...!
